The Safari build is by far one of our most head turning and attention grabbing projects yet.

Our team was extremely excited to see this European (aka “rest of the world”) spec 1978 Porsche 911SC drive into the shop, as we knew it would be an ideal candidate for our Safari program. Being a European vehicle, it was delivered from factory with a single side mirror and has the added bonus of being optioned without a sunroof, radio or air conditioning. The car was delivered new to Fellbach, Germany and appeared in a few concourse competitions in Germany before being exported to America.

Numerous upgrades were made to this vehicle to transform it from regular road-going coupe, to the brute of a off-roader it is today.

Suspension

• KW Clubsport coilover shocks with rally spec valving and external reservoirs (front 3-way adjustable inverted mono tube motorsports dampeners, rear 3-way adjustable aluminum motorsports dampeners)
• KW top mounts ( aluminum/ camber adjustable/ spherical bearing)
• KW rear top mounts ( weld in steel / non- adjustable/ spherical bearing)
• KW dry break fittings for front dampeners
• Complete Tarrett Engineering 935 suspension kit comprised of: 935 front suspension, custom HD ball joints with increased angle, 935 rear spring plates, bump steer tie rod kit, rear oonball cartridge, front and rear sway bar and drop links (19.3 mm), turbo tie rod kit

Fabrication

• Custom fabricated and reinforced rear strut mounts and bracing

• Custom weld-in double crossed-braced roll cage (attached to the rear strut mounts)
• Custom fabricated front and rear brush guards with aluminum skid plates (protects engine, transmission and gas tank)
