Vehicle History

This Porsche was originally purchased by two sisters in Cincinnati, Ohio, who only drove this on very special occasions. They were the owners from 1984 to 2014, when they finally decided to sell this classic Porsche to a dealer. The dealer purchased this 911 Carrera because of its quality and originality, but eventually sold it to bring on new inventory. The gentlemen who bought this 1984 911 Carrera Cabriolet from the dealer then took meticulous care of this beautiful classic Porsche.

This most recent owner had the car shipped to Scottsdale in early 2016 and drove it to San Diego where it has been since garage kept. After interviewing the previous owner, we found out that he was actually hunting down this exact Porsche for quite some time.

Here is his story behind finding this 1984 911 Carrera Cabriolet:

My first Porsche was a 1983 911SC cab with the same color combination which I purchased in 1988 after college. I sold the car 7 years later when we decided to have children. I went on a quest 6 years ago to find the same color combination car but in a 1984 since it was the first year of the Carrera motor but still had the 3 spoke steering wheel. It was hard to find and took 2 years until I came upon this one. The Slate Blue with the beige interior and black top is a rare color combination and very clean looking. I decided not to refinish the Fuchs and leave the original wind blown look. I spent many hours detailing the car to enter PCA shows and had a lot of fun doing so. Many compliments on this car everywhere I went. I am selling the car because I don't have enough storage and I just don't drive it enough to justify keeping it any longer.

This Porsche has been driven about 500 miles in 3 years. Makellos has been the Porsche service and maintenance shop of choice by the most recent owner and a new German top has been added to this vehicle.

The Slate Blue color with the Beige interior and Black top makes for a rare color combination and is very clean looking. The previous owner decided not to refinish the Fuchs and leave the original wind blown look. Many hours have been invested into the detailing and maintaining this Porsche to enter PCA shows (1st place winner PCA Concours at Spanish Landing, San Diego for this series Porsche). The owner decided to sell this pristine Porsche only due to a lack of storage.
